Marketing Intern


Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is a contemporary art gallery for emerging to mid-career artists located in the SoWa Arts & Design District in Boston’s South End. Our goal is to cultivate and promote an international program of artists, and act as an accessible public space to elevate the fine arts community in Boston. We are proud to represent 10 artists working in a variety of media. We engage not only a local audience, but also an online following through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and our gallery blog.

We are looking for an intern to start ASAP with potential to continue their internship through May. Priority given to applicants who apply soon. The marketing intern would assist with events planning, social media, and creation of marketing materials. This is a great opportunity for anyone trying to learn about the current fine art market, the sales and marketing strategies of an independent gallery, and engaging in Boston’s creative community. This role has flexible hours, ideally the intern will be available to work on Saturday and/or Sunday.


Update social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).

Update inventory on website

Help out during events and receptions as needed.

Greet gallery visitors.

Create marketing materials and video content

This is an unpaid internship.



Proficient with Microsoft Word

A laptop to work on

Received or pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in Art History, Studio Art, Graphic Design, Business, Communications or other related field.

Recommended Experience:

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Social Media: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook

Graphic Design

Basic web design
