PR/Marketing Intern - Winter/Spring 2020

PR/Marketing Interns will assist with projects and responsibilities including:

  1. Create promotional and outreach materials such as newsletters, blog posts, and press releases
  2. Support ARCK’s social media endeavors by keeping our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages up-to-date
  3. Assist with planning and outreach for ARCK's annual auction benefit gala in October and other special events
  4. Send out updated information to local community partners and organizations
  5. Support our partnership with BPS partner schools
  6. Facilitate various administrative duties as well as assist with occasional evening and weekend events
This unpaid internship will be for the 2020 Spring semester.
Internship will require 10-20 hours a week, with flexibility around work/class schedules.
*ARCK is willing to fill out any paperwork, evaluations or onsite meetings in order for students to receive academic credit for their internship.
Applicant should be a current undergraduate or graduate student. Experience with Google Drive is required and experience with graphic design programs is a plus. Qualified candidates should have experience or feel comfortable with publicity writing, press releases and using social media networks to advertise and disseminate important information. Qualified candidates should be team players, willing to pick up tasks as needed, meet deadlines, and show independence and initiative in completing projects and tasks. An interest in education, the arts and the nonprofit sector is important. The ideal applicant will be genuinely passionate about ARCK’s mission and excited to work with a small arts education nonprofit as it expands and grows!

Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides arts integration programming to k-8 grades in the Boston Public Schools.  Our classes align with the academic content and learning themes specific to our partner schools and classrooms, as well as the Common Core State Standards and National Visual Art Standards. ARCK uses art and arts integration to enhance the academic experience of our students while focusing on developing concepts like cultural diversity, identity, leadership skills, civic engagement and social justice.
