About this Organization:
Carriage House Violins is a full-service violin shop offering a wide array of both fine antique instruments and new instruments by today’s best makers. Christopher Reuning founded Carriage House Violins in 2005 to offer superior instruments to a wide range of clients, from advanced students to professional musicians. In January 2011, we expanded to an exciting new location in Newton Upper Falls, a historic mill building set into the banks of the Charles River. With increased space and a 40-seat acoustically engineered Recital Hall, we can now provide to our discerning clientele the ultimate trial experience. In November 2013, Carriage House Violins announced that it would merge with Johnson String Instrument to better serve our growing clientele. This merger will offer an expanded inventory and improved efficiency while retaining the excellent quality of instruments and high caliber service that loyal Carriage House customers have come to expect. Carriage House Violins will exclusively handle instrument sales while Johnson String Instrument will continue their popular rental program and offer an unparalleled selection of accessories, cases, and other products for the dedicated string player.
