General Description. Responsible for assisting with all customer service needs, helping seat guests, general crowd control and management, and maintaining a clean and organized theater venue.
Safely guiding guests and crowd management during seating, turnovers, and closing.
Communicating show details and times clearly and effectively
Managing audience interactions with cast during performances
Cleaning theater venue, employees spaces before, during, and after performances
General trash removal and organization
Effectively communicating customer service needs to House Manager as needed
Improv Asylum (Boston) is an improv theater company that opened in the Summer of 1998. Improv Asylum has been operating in Boston for the last 20 years.
Full evening and weekend availability; some daytime availability required
Be able to stand for 1 hour or more
Be able to carry 50 lbs or more
Be able to work indoors and outdoors year round.
Apple products proficient
Excellent speaking, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Performs well under pressure and in chaotic environments while juggling multiple competing tasks and demands as necessary
Adaptive decision making
Must have exceptionally polite and have a positively eager to help personality
Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
An interest in live entertainment and comedy performances
Previous theater or usher experience.
Familiar with the Boston improv scene
