Director of Development

ArtsBoston seeks an experienced, passionate-about-the-arts fundraiser who shares our vision and organizational focus on equity to support the work of our exciting new strategic plan.

Arts, culture, and creativity are essential to our civic life and integral to who we are as a region. At the same time, our arts and culture sector also reflects our long history of racial discrimination and segregation in Greater Boston. In fact, our organizations, our practitioners, and our audiences are whiter, wealthier, and older than the general population. Even with the best intentions, not enough has changed over the years. This situation threatens the health and well-being of the arts sector, as traditional audiences grow older and demographic shifts alter the balance of power in the city. To sustain a thriving, growing arts community, we need to make sure that everyone has a seat at the table. As an advocate, trusted expert, and convener, ArtsBoston is well positioned to take a leadership role in this systemic transformation. Together, we can make the arts sector – and Greater Boston – better for all of us.
