Box Office Associate

Description:
Jacob’s Pillow seeks aBox Office Associate to join the Patron Services Department and work closely with/report directly to the Patron Services Manager. This position is responsible for processing ticket orders in person, online, and over the phone; organizing and distributing Will Call tickets; and providing information about performances and events to patrons. Flexible shifts are available Tuesday-Sunday through late August. Days/nights/weekends available, including potential for weekend-only shifts.15-40 hours per week.
Qualifications:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell tickets to performances using PatronManager ticketing software

  • Assist customers in making educated Pillow performance choices

  • Make changes as needed for any patrons paying with cash

  • Organize and distribute Will Call tickets

  • Provide patrons with information about Jacob’s Pillow

  • Update and correct patron data in PatronManager as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year of relevant customer service and cash handling experience

  • Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a performing arts environment

  • Accuracy in processing transactions

  • A working knowledge of computers: Microsoft Office Suite & typing skills Must possess strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be detail and task oriented
