Load-In Technical Director
Central Square Theater is seeking a part-time load-in technical director for their 19-20 season. This person would primarilysupervise sound and lighting load-in of all CST productions in the 19-20 season and be present at technical rehearsals to work in conjunction with production manager to solve any issues that arise during those rehearsals. This person should have significant experience with lighting and sound systems (particularly an ETC Ion and a Soundcraft GB4).This person should also be the Master Electrician for these productions.Additionally, a candidate with scenic and carpentry skills will be given greater consideration.
-experience with theatrical lighting systems (how to hang and focus a lighting instrument, board programming, instrument cabling, circuiting, etc.)
-experience with theatrical sound systems (hanging and cabling speakers, speaker to sound board hookup, basic Qlab skills, etc.)
-organizational leadership skills for leading a team of overhire employees to keep load-in on track and in the amount of time scheduled
-experience with projection and/or scenic painting a plus, but not a requirement

- The Crucible: 9/2/19-9/11/19
- A Christmas Carol: 11/4/20-11/8/20, tech 11/23/19-11/27/19
- Vanity Fair: 1/13/20-1/22/20
- Pipeline: 2/24/20-3/4/20
- Ada and the Engine: 3/30/20-4/8/20
- Ain’t Misbehavin’: 5/18/20-5/27/20
A sample load in schedule for this person would be as follows:
- Tuesday, September 3rd:Hang, 9am-7pm
- Thursday, September 5th: Focus, 9am-7pm
- Friday, September 6th: Notes, 9am-1pm
- Saturday, September 7th:Tech, 11am-11pm
- Sunday, September 8th: Tech, 11am-4pm
- Monday, September 9th: Notes, 9am-3pm
- Tuesday, September 10th: Notes, 12pm-4pm
- Wednesday, September 11th:Notes,12pm-4pm
