Temporary Arts Researcher

We invite you to apply for a temporary position with the Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST) production team in Fall 2019, with the potential to extend to Spring 2020.

Are you interested in arts research and administration? Then join us!

CAST is looking for temporary part-time support 8-10 hours per week ($20/hour) starting in September 2019. This position is ideally suited for those interested in pursuing a career in arts administration and/or artist management.

The individual will work closely with the Producers on documenting interdisciplinary arts projects produced by the Center for Art, Science & Technology.

Responsibilities vary according to the interests of the individual as well as the Center's immediate needs and workflow during the time period of the temporary position.

Tasks include:

  • Compiling and organizing documentation on visiting artist and faculty projects

  • Assisting staff members as needed in areas including research, project documentation, and reporting

  • Administrative duties including compiling and maintaining artist files, writing and reporting project logistics and activities, and distributing updates to production and communications teams

  • Updating text and images on established website pages

  • Data entry including identifying and implementing data clean-up projects

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work independently and keep documentation clear and up-to-date

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Interest in multidisciplinary art and performance

  • Fluency in oral and written communication

  • Experience working in arts administration preferred
