The Dedham School of Music is seeking a part-time substitute Woodwind Instructor to start in September of 2019. We look for an experienced, enthusiastic, diverse and driven teacher who is able to engage with students, teach them love for music, and understand how to best serve them. Willingness and ability to teach flute, clarinet, and saxophone required.
This position is currently estimated for Wednesday and Thursday afternoons between 3 - 7pm. As we approach the start of Fall semester, we will have a better idea of exact times.
Providing lessons equal to the hours/weeks for which students are registered
Preparing students for required performance/assessment opportunities
Attending all faculty meetings for the contractual year
Performing in the end-of-year faculty recital
Maintaining correspondence with parents, students, and Employer with regards to scheduling, attendance, concerns, etc.
-Master's degree in piano performance, music education (piano focus), or extensive experience is required.
-3-5 years of teaching experience with young beginner through older advanced students.
