ArtSpace - Maynard Seeks Administrative Coordinator ArtSpace is a nonprofit community arts center founded in 1987 and located in the Assabet Village Cultural District in downtown Maynard, MA. ArtSpace supports 47 artists’ studios, a main gallery, a community theatre, public art, special events, and educational programs.


Job Description: ArtSpace Maynard seeks a part-time Administrative Coordinator to support its new Executive Director whose vision includes projects, programs, exhibitions, and special events that encourage collaborations between artists and the public. The Administrative Coordinator would work closely with the Executive Director on all administrative tasks including artist studio leases, accounting, facility operations, marketing, and fundraising. The role will be best served by a passionate advocate for art, art education, community engagement, urban revitalization, and economic development.


Responsibilities:

-Participate in the development and oversight of yearly budget.

-Manage payment of organization’s bills.

-Routine administrative support including answering telephones, preparing mailings, copying, scanning, and data entry.

-Welcome visitors, assist to coordinate volunteers and maintain databases.

-Research available grants, assist with grant applications and reporting.

-Assist ED with fundraising strategies such as sponsorships and in-kind support.

-Create and maintain ArtSpace Maynard social media presence, develop and post content for all platforms.

-Maintain ArtSpace’s WordPress website and post relevant articles, events, and calendar updates in a timely manner.

-Create content for monthly marketing emails, proofread organizational emails, send emails via MailChimp.

-Develop basic graphic designs to to support special projects.


Schedule:

3-4 days a week, with some weekend and evening hours for events, meetings, and deadlines.





Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or comparable experience

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office

    • Social media savvy

    • Organized with strong time management skills

    • Ability to work in partnership with Executive Director

    • Demonstrates initiative, motivation, and commitment to ArtSpace and its mission
