Costume Designer - A Midsummer's Night Dream

Description:
The Company Theatre is hiring a costume designer for A Midsummer's Night Dream, October 4 - 20.
William Shakespeare’s enchanting comedy of love and errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, marked the birth of The Company Theatre. In celebration of our 40th year, Shakespeare’s most beloved work returns to the stage in a glorious and elaborate version that will capture the hearts of all who love fantasy and enjoy Shakespeare. This production will feature flying and other special effects.
A Midsummer's Night Dream portrays the adventures of four young Athenian lovers, a group of amateur actors, their interactions with the Duke of Athens, Theseus, the Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta, and with the fairies who inhabit a moonlit forest. We are looking to present a traditional version of A Midsummer's Night Dream. Please provide portfolio pictures that show work in a similar style.
Qualifications:
  • Attend all necessary production meetings
  • Design, build, and/or provide all costumes for the production.  The Company Theatre has a vast costume shop to pull pieces from.
  • Laundering, maintenance and repairs during the run will be the responsibility of the costume designer unless it has been agreed that there will be a costumer’s assistant assisting with maintenance.
