Auditions for Fall 2019 will take place on
Thursday, August 29 from 7:15-9:00pm
Wednesday, September 4 from 7:15-9:00pm

Experienced singers of all parts are encouraged to audition. We rehearse from 7:15 – 9:45 PM on Thursday nights at MIT.
Auditions (and rehearsals) are held at MIT (accessible via Kendall/MIT stop on the red line or several different buses). Click the link below for a campus map.

Preparing for Your Audition
In the 10-minute audition you will:
1) Sing a prepared, unaccompanied piece – something you’re comfortable with.
Demonstrate accuracy and expressiveness.
2) Sight read Renaissance and contemporary excerpts.
3) Do some vocal exercises across your range as requested.
4) Sing back a series of intervals.

Be able to read music and sing in tune and rhythm. Be able to attend rehearsals and participate in concerts.

About this Organization:
Cambridge Chamber Singers (CCS, formerly known as Cambridge Madrigal Singers), now in its 35th season, offers exciting and eclectic concert programs to connect audiences in Greater Boston with the best in choral music, from traditional masters to talented new composers.
The group's name was changed from Cambridge Madrigal Singers to Cambridge Chamber Singers at the end of 2007, to better reflect the music that the group performs.
Under Musical Director Dr. Raymond Fahrner, CCS seeks out innovative programming and creative collaborations. CCS sponsors the annual Composition Competition, a popular contest for composers from around the world, and premieres the winning composition each Spring.
