Posman Books is coming to Boston with a new concept for what a bookstore should be. Rather than opening a cafe with our bookstore we are going to have an ice cream shop and we are looking for an Assistant Manager to work with the General Manager to handle all of the daily operations.
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for handling all of the retail and ice cream operations.
Retail operations include- running register, shelving books, organizing merchandise, maintaining cleanliness of the store and excellent customer service.
Ice Cream operations include- scooping and serving ice cream, maintaining inventory of ice cream and supplies, maintaining cleanliness of serving counter, dishwashing, etc.
In addition to these standard responsibilities the Assistant Manager will also work with the General Manager on the following tasks:
Inventory control – receiving merchandise, keen eye for product placement on the sales floor
Sales and cash management
HR – hiring, training, coordinating of staff schedules and daily responsibilities, evaluations, payroll, termination
