Hip-Hop/Jazz After-School Dance Instructor

Description:

NEMPAC is currently seeking a dance instructor for our Monday afternoon Hip Hop/Jazz class, grades 3-5 at the Harvard-Kent Elementary school in Charlestown, MA. Class Time: Monday afternoon 4:30pm- 5:30pm. Max amount of dancers: 22.  Additional hours may be added upon instructor request and availability.

Responsibilities:

  • As the dance Instructor, you will be responsible for training students in hip hop and jazz dance techniques.

  • Managing class behavior, and time management in a professional manner.

  • Communicating with parents weekly before and after class.

  • One 2-3 minute Dance performance will be required, at the end of the ten-week session in June.

Qualifications:
  • Previous Dance Training

  • Experience Performing jazz, hip hop and other dance styles

  • Experience working with children of all ages

  • Must be reliable, prompt and on time to work

  • Must have strong communication skills

  • Must be outgoing and enthusiastic

  • Must have reliable transportation to the site location
